“Our eyes are placed in front, because it is more important to look
ahead than to look back.“
What is worthwhile in your life?
You have only one life – and this life – to life ! And this is what is worthwhile.
Regardless of how you hate RA for virtually turning your whole world upside down, the fact is that, it is already in your life and in my life. We cannot possibly grasp the whole of life. Disappointment in life is inevitable. Pain is the common lot and sorrow is not given to us alone that we may mourn. This is our life, a life that is bestowed upon us; and we only have this life to live so long as we are staying alive.
Importantly, we cannot buy time. Nobody can. Once, there is this person who, lying on his death bed, offered to give a million dollars for another minute of time, but he could not buy that minute with any amount of his fortune. He wanted to stay alive. He wanted to buy up time so that he can buy up the opportunities to use that time to do things that really matter and useful to him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t buy that time.
Nobody gets to live life backward. Look ahead with both our eyes in front. There are greater and more beautiful moments ahead if we can embrace ourselves and just do it. Whatever our hands find to do, do it will all our might. Live purposefully, worthily, wisely, sensibly and accurately. Make the most of our time, buying up each opportunity and purpose in life for which we are guided by.
The secret of getting ahead is to take on happiness. The origin of happiness traces back to the idea of happenstance, things that just happen. Many people cannot be happy in the happenstance of life because they have asked too much in life, wanting everything to be perfect. There must be no rain before rainbow appears, but it doesn’t happen that way. They get unhappy. With happiness, it must start today. It is with the heart of unselfishness, patience, purposefulness and gratitude, we can be happy. Give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that with every step forward, you are moving a step towards achieving something bigger and better than your current situation, even if you fall flat on your face. Convince yourself to look ahead to a life worth living, full of hope, faith and cheers. One that is made for giving, without stint, without shame and without fear.
Last but not least, a quote by Steve Jobs on moving forward in life: “Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something – your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
